It is my firm belief that childrens books should be safe for children. That should be the case without having to state it. With that being said sadly that is not always the case. In my personal opinion there is no need for extra agendas in childrens literature. A large majority of classic childrens books seemed to preserve this purity as an unwritten rule. As a father of five (soon to be six) it is my goal to create stories that are memorable and fun for parents and kids alike without stealing the innocence away from children.

My very first series is currently in development. It is a series called "At Nana's House" and has five whimsical stories that are sure to make the whole family chuckle. So why BergBarn?
That is an excellent question. My family has a lot of pride in our swedish ancestory. My father was very nearly a full blooded swede with his parents only being second generation americans. Our last name Berggren means mountain (Berg) branch (Gren). When I started pondering my publishing name I knew that I wanted to go back to those swedish roots. I couldn't find the exact phrase that I wanted which was "mountain children" but this is as close as I could get. It's also a play on words for multiple reasons. At the time of writing my wife is expecting our sixth child so you might say our barn is full. Also I'm writing childrens books and my second series is all about a farm.
